This was a display of an unknown specie of fresh, uncooked, headless shrimp, which were being sold by the pound to passing consumers in a Georgia farmers market. On top of the piled shrimp was a large ice scooper, used to transfer the crustaceans to the scale. When purchasing shrimp the flesh should be translucent and shiny with little or no odor.
