The face of this male patient exhibited some of the pathologic characteristic associated with a case of nodular lepromatous leprosy, which under the newer World Health Organization (WHO) standards, is classified as multibacillary (MB) leprosy. Of note was the presence of cutaneous nodules upon the forehead, nose, cheeks, lips, and chin. The eyebrows were diminished as well. This illness is caused by the bacterium, Mycobacterium leprae.
