Under a magnification of 970X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural details exhibited by a species of the genus of fungal organisms known as Helminthosporium, which included a darkly stained conidiophore, topped with five, oblong shaped, multicellular conidia. Note how the conidiophore had branched from a one of the organism’s septate hypha.
