Under a magnification of 475X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural details exhibited by a species of the genus of fungal organisms known as Helminthosporium, which included the organism’s conidiophores, and conidia. You can see how the conidiophores branched from the filamentous, septate hyphae, and were topped by the organism’s reproductive cells known as conidia, which in this case were oblong-shaped, multicellular structures.
