This 1969 image depicted a cargo ship that was docked in the Port of Jakarta, Indonesia. Though the photograph is rather old, and not very clear, the notice on the ship's side seems to possibly indicate poisons onboard, and it appears that the crew was wearing facemasks, which could be guarding them from any noxious fumes. Water resource developments, including canals, rivers, lakes, and streams, can become breeding grounds for disease carrying vectors such as mosquitoes, which makes the control of these insects a paramount concern, especially for those, who use these bodies of water for business, as was the case here, or pleasure.
