This image was produced, by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in 1997, and was entitled, AIDS Cases in Men by Race/Ethnicity per 100,000 Population, Reported in 1996, United States. This chart reveals the number of AIDS cases per 100,000 population, broken down by ethnicity. Of interest, is the fact that even though there were more cases of AIDS amongst whites than blacks, or Hispanics, as minorities, there was a much higher rate of AIDS amongst blacks, and Hispanics, based on their percentage of the overall population.
