This image depicts a frontal view of a Petri dish culture plate that had cultivated a large colony of the dermatophytic fungus, Trichophyton mentagrophytes var. quinckeanum, which exhibited a white-beige coloration, and a powdery, slightly folded morphology. T. mentagrophytes colonial coloration ranges from white, to bright yellowish-beige, to red-violet.
