Under a magnification of 945X, this photomicrograph of a hematoxylin-eosin (H&E) stained stomach tissue sample, revealed the presence of a mycelium from an unknown fungal organism, harvested from a patient ill with mucormycosis, otherwise known as zygomycosis.
