Description:This 1981 photograph depicts a patient-isolation unit staff member securing the plastic tenting material that was used to enclose a Vicker’s Isolation Unit, using tape to attach the various plastic layers. See PHIL 2554, for an image showing a virtual patient lying in the Vicker’s enclosure.
The image was captured during a trial run of a patient taken from CDC to a nearby medical center. A doctor was administering care to the patient with supportive help from the Isolation Unit medical staff. See PHIL 14505 through 14529, for imagery documenting this practice emergent situational scenario.
