This 1981 photograph depicts a patient-isolation unit staff member in the process of securing the plastic tenting material that was used to enclose a Vickers isolation unit, using tape to attach the various plastic layers. See PHIL 2554, for an image showing a mock patient, who was lying inside the Vickers enclosure. The image was captured during a trial run of a patient, who was transported from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to a nearby medical center. A doctor was administering care to the patient with supportive help provided by the Isolation Unit medical staff. See PHIL 14505 through 14529, for imagery documenting this practice emergent situational scenario.
