This historic image depicted Ghana’s former Chief of State, General Ankrah, as he was receiving his smallpox vaccination using a Ped-O-Jet® pneumatic injector gun. The photograph was captured during the West African Smallpox Eradication, and Measles Control Program efforts, and while the General was at the International Trade Fair, held in Accra, Ghana, in February 1967.
