Captured in 1975, this historic image depicts a number of Center for Disease Control (CDC) laboratorians, who were in a laboratory setting in the process of checking the results of serology tests, in order to determine the presence of influenza A/NJ/8/76, otherwise known as swine flu, by checking for the rise in antibody levels to the swine influenza virus. These analyses were being conducted during vaccine testing trials. Standing at center was CDC virologist Dr. Alan Kendal.
