From the “Illustrated Manual for the Recognition and Diagnosis of Certain Animal Diseases”, published in 1982, by the Mexico-United States Commission for the Prevention of Foot and Mouth Disease, captured at this animal’s necropsy, the trachea was examined demonstrating the presence of hemorrhages in the mucosa of the windpipe in a case of a velogenic viscerotropic Newcastle disease (VVND) infection. This illness is also known as exotic Newcastle disease, Asiatic or Doyle’s form of Newcastle disease.
