This patient presented to a clinical setting with severe erythematous lesions of the mouth, which had become pustular in nature, as you can see in this close view of her lips. A diagnosis of erythema multiforme was made.
Additional Information:
Erythema multiforme is an allergic reaction in response to medications, infections, or illness and require only symptomatic therapy. The rash is polymorphous, comprised of so called target lesions made up of the eruption of macules and papules, as seen here.
