Description:This image depicts two slant culture test tubes containing Sabouraud dextrose agar, which had been inoculated with Trichophyton tonsurans fungal organisms on the left, and T. violaceum on the right.
Though both are members of the same genus, i.e., Trichophyton, note the dissimilarities in their colonial morphology, especially in their size, and coloration.
