This photograph depicts the colonial morphology displayed by Gram-negative, Yersinia pestis bacteria, which were grown on a medium of Cefsulodin-Irgasan-Novobiocin (CIN) agar, for a 48-hour time period, at a temperature of 25°C. See PHIL 12465 and 12466, for the appearance of Y. pestis colonies, which had been grown on the same medium, and at the same temperature, but for half the time period (24hr).
