This photograph depicts the colonial morphology displayed by Gram-negative, Burkholderia thailandensis bacteria, which was grown on a medium of MacConkey agar, for a 48-hour time period, at a temperature of 42°C. See PHIL 12411, for a closer view of these bacterial colonies. Also, see both PHIL 12405 and 12406, for views of this bacterial species, grown on the same medium, for the same amount of time, however, at a lesser temperature of 37°C. Note that PHIL 12419 and 12420, depict the same bacterial species grown on the same medium, but at a lesser temperature (37°C), and for only 24hrs. Look at PHIL 12427 and 12428 to see the colonial growth on the same medium and temperature, but at half the time period (24hr).
