A closer view of PHIL 12403, this photograph depicts the colonial morphology displayed by Gram-negative, Burkholderia thailandensis bacteria, which was grown on a medium of chocolate agar, for a 48-hour time period, at a temperature of 37°C. See both PHIL 12417 and 12418, for a view of this bacterial species, grown on the same medium, at the same temperature, however, for a lesser amount of time (24hrs). Note PHIL 12425 and 12426, which depict the B. thailandensis colonial growth, again on the same medium, but at a higher temperature (42°C), and half the cultivation time (24hrs).
