This historic 1965 photograph, depicted a laboratory technician, as she was measuring a filtrate, using a Seligson pipette. She would subsequently implement the orthotolidine (2-Tolidine) method upon these measured samples. Modern day protocols, now call for the laboratorian, executing such tasks, to wear additional personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety goggles, and a facemask.
