Caption:
This scanning electron microscopic (SEM) image revealed two Acanthamoeba polyphaga protozoa, as they were interacting through their numerous pseudopodia, projecting from the surface of these organisms. These pseudopodia enable the amoebae to move about, and grasp objects in their environment. In this particular case, it was not known if these two amebae were communicating, or coming to the conclusion of mitotic cell division, becoming to separate organisms.
