This photomicrograph revealed some of the histopathology found in a Lendrum stained lung tissue specimen, harvested from a patient with a cytomegalovirus infection. Note the cytomegalic inclusion cell in the field of view, also known as owl eye inclusion cell with its enlarged, darkly stained nucleus.
