Under a magnification of 1800X, this photomicrograph of a urine specimen, revealed the presence of what is referred to as a cytomegalic inclusion cell. Such cells are also known as owl eye inclusion cells, and were due to a case of cytomegalic inclusion disease, caused by the cytomegalovirus.
