This 1970 photograph revealed the presence of what was determined to be a secondary gonococcal lesion, which was located on the distal finger tip of a patient, who presented with a case of gonorrhea. Usually, secondary gonococcal lesions manifest themselves when a primary infection of the urogenital tract becomes disseminated throughout the body by way of the circulatory system.
