This patient presented with what was diagnosed as a Grade-II malnutrition goiter, due to a deficiency of iodine in her diet. Note the hypertrophic morphology exhibited by the patient’s butterfly-shaped thyroid gland, located in one’s neck, just anterior to the breathing tube, or trachea.
