This photomicrograph depicts the histopathologic changes found in a biopsied Kaposi's sarcoma lung tissue lesion, harvested from a patient with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Important, was the presence of numerous erythrocyte filled, slit-like spaces, which is a characteristic finding in Kaposi's sarcoma.
