Under a magnification of 759X, this 2005 scanning electron microscopic (SEM) image, depicted the morphologic characteristics of the inner surface of an unidentified bird’s eggshell. In this view, the trabeculated morphologic configuration of the shell’s inner membranous layers was revealed. This shell fragment was retrieved from the grounds of the Decatur, Georgia suburbs.
