This historic 1971 photograph was captured during a Center for Disease Control (CDC) Surveillance Course for Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO) fellows. It was held in the CDC’s Atlanta offices, from April 5, through December 10, 1971. Featured in the photograph is Abdallah Najjar (standing), who worked for the CDC for 31 years, where he established, and was Chief of the Office of International Services.
