This award recognizes ones scientific achievement at CDC/ATSDR, and honors the memory of Dr. Charles C. Shepard, whose career was based on the pursuit of scientific excellence. Publications in three categories are honored: Assessment and Epidemiology, Prevention and Control, and Laboratory and Methods. In addition, awards for Lifetime Scientific Achievement and Outstanding Scientific Contribution to Public Health are also presented at this ceremony.
