This 1976 photograph was taken looking out the rear of a C-141 jet from its interior, where the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) mobile quarantine facility (MQF), i.e., see PHIL ID# 7234, was loaded on and off during medical evacuations. In 1975, a C-141 aircraft like the one pictured here, was used during the medical evacuation of the Lassa fever patient Kent Campbell, MD, MPH, from London, and transported him within the MQF to New York City.
