This 1976 photograph showed several loadmasters, as they were loading the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) mobile quarantine facility (MQF), into an aircraft to be transported to Atlanta, Georgia. It took a C-141 jet to transport this MQF, which was bought from the United States Air Force museum for $1. The MQF was used to quarantine Kent Campbell, MD, MPH, during a Lassa fever medical evacuation, from London to New York City.
