Description: Caption:
Photographed in 1976, this was the outside of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) mobile quarantine facility (MQF), that was located in a Chamblee, Georgia CDC warehouse. It took a C-141 jet to transport this MQF, which was bought from the United States Air Force museum for $1. This isolation compartment was used to quarantine Kent Campbell, MD, MPH, during a Lassa fever medical evacuation, from London to New York City.
