Description:This photograph shows individuals within a foundry factory who took part in a 1998 hands-on industrial hygiene sampling course in Manila, Philippines.

A Department of Labor and Employment inspector (left with mask on) is shown adjusting an air sampling pump on a foundry worker pushing a large ladle of molten iron. The course was co-taught by a National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) industrial hygienist and a Harvard University doctoral student and was sponsored by the International Labour Organization.
