This image depicts a close view of a male patient’s genitalia, highlighting the distal dorsal penile shaft, where a genital dermatitis had developed, which was specifically diagnosed as lichen sclerosus (LS) et atrophicus. LS is characterized as a chronic dermatitis, manifesting as flattened, white dermal plaques surrounded by an erythematous border, as well as black follicular plugs. Usually LS affects the genital region of the male and female, and can develop at extra-genital sites as well.
