This image depicts a close view of a patient’s glans penis, revealing purulent drainage emanating from the urinary meatus. The diagnosis was made of nonspecific urethritis with accompanying meatitis. Nonspecific urethritis merely means that upon presentation, the cause of this given case of urethral inflammation is unknown. A differential diagnostic process will help to narrow the possible causes by ruling out those possibilities that do not provide respective positive test results.
