Caption:
This image depicts three honey bees, Apis mellifera, including a worker, a drone, and a queen bee. Agriculturally, A. mellifera provides a much loved food commodity, by producing honey, which is actually desiccated nectar that is placed in the honeycomb cells, and it’s aqueous component is evaporated off leaving behind the highly viscous honey.
