This 2004 photograph is the first in a series of twelve images, depicting the steps involved in performing the CAPILLUS HIV-1/HIV-2 Rapid Test, and Test Kit, the purpose of which was to test whole blood, serum, or plasma, for the presence of immunoglobulin M and immunoglobulin G antibody.
- Gather instructions and other necessary lab supplies, along with the kit’s contents, and all stored specimens. Bring all refrigerated items to room temperature before use. Keep work areas clean and well organized. Store kits at 2°–8° C. (Step 1 of 12)
