Under a low magnification of 23X, this 2004 scanning electron microscopic (SEM) image depicts a 0.1 µm polycarbonate membrane filter, which was coated with a Campylobacter jejuni bacterial film. To create this scenario, the Poretics Corporation filter had been inserted into a syringe, whereupon, a turbid bacterial suspension was drawn up into the syringe, and remaining behind on the filter membrane, were the Campylobacter jejuni bacteria.
