This 6-week-old female presented with symptoms of jaundice, which was proven to be due to hypothyroidism. She was treated with supplemental thyroid hormonal therapy. At 1-year of age, she appeared to be a normal healthy child. Female infants are statistically twice as likely to develop congenital hypothyroidism than male infants.
