This 1975 image depicted an example of a properly installed water inlet on an instrument sterilizer, located above its water spill rim, thereby, preventing the possible back-siphonage of wastewater into the freshwater system. This image was used as part of a series, the purpose of which was to familiarize public health inspectors with what at the time, was proper food hygiene sanitation practices, and the myriad of food storage conditions found in migrant worker camps.
