Caption:
This photograph depicts a close view of a patient’s skin surface, revealing what is referred to as herald patch, which had been the result of a condition known as pityriasis rosea, a harmless, yet itchy, scaly skin disease often found in people 10–35yrs of age. Most people with pityriasis rosea develop one of these large scaly herald patches, and within 1-2 weeks, smaller, pink patches can occur on the trunk, arms and legs.
