Captured in 1994, this photograph depicted the requisite number of staff needed to produce a satellite broadcast. The topic of this particular broadcast, dealt with the Epidemiology of Vaccine Preventable Diseases. Seated at the table on the left, in his suit and tie, was medical epidemiologist and training team lead, William L. Atkinson, MD, MPH of the former National Immunization Program (NIP), and to his left, was broadcast moderator, Joe Washington. In 2006, the NIP became known as the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD).
