This illustration highlights the structural details exhibited by the head region of the common housefly, Musca domestica. Annoying houseflies may spread typhoid, cholera, dysentery and diarrhea. They accomplish this by carrying the pathogens from garbage, sewage and fecal matter directly to food items, or to a person's hands, or lips.
