Description:This patient displayed marked desquamation of right thumb and palm due to Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS).
Toxic shock syndrome (TSS) manifests itself with a sudden onset of fever, chills, vomiting, diarrhea, muscle pains and rash. Hypotension and mucous membrane, multisystem involvement, and later desquamation are features of the disease as well.
