This 1976 photograph revealed the presence of numerous mosquito pupae, or late stage larvae, that were inhabiting a vegetated area of standing water, located in Albany County, Wyoming. This region was part of an investigation focusing on the minimization of risks of vector-borne diseases in water resource developments. All water treatment plants must meet U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards.
