This historic photograph from 1909, depicts an outdoor portrait captured during a trip made by Dr. Greene Vardiman Black (Lt), one of the founders of modern dentistry, to Colorado Springs, in order to visit fellow dentist, Dr. Frederick S. McKay, father of the modern fluoridation process. The men had gathered in Colorado Springs to investigate the Colorado brown stain phenomenon.
