This image depicts a close view of a 45-year-old male patient’s genitalia, revealing two erosive lesions on the distal penis, and penile base, which proved to be due to a condition known as chancroid, caused by the Gram-negative bacterium, Haemophilus ducreyi. At the time of this image, this patient had been on sulfonamides for 3-days.
