Caption:
This image depicts a right anterior-oblique view of a male patient’s genitalia, revealing erosive, bleeding lesions on the distal penis and penile base, which proved to be due to a condition known as chancroid, caused by the Gram-negative bacterium, Haemophilus Ducreyi. Note that a lymph node in the right inguinal region had become swollen, as it drained the infected, ipsilateral region.
