Description:This patient presented with a Grade I goiter due to an iodine deficiency.
Goiter is an enlargement of the thyroid gland due to a deficiency in the body’s iodine levels, thereby, taxing the ability of this gland to produce its hormones. Increasing the level of iodine will easily correct this problem.
