This photograph depicts a frontal view of a Petri dish culture plate, which contained an unknown growth medium , which had been inoculated with the fungal organism, Chrysosporium keratinophilum. Colonies produced by organisms of the genus Chrysosporium, are fast growing and flat, usually whitish, pale yellow to pale brown in color on their frontal surface, and pale brownish-yellow, or brown on their reverse. The surface texture is often powdery, or granular.
