Description:Caption:
Under a low magnification of 1.9X, this image shows you a close view of a number of Clostridium botulinum, type-E bacterial colonies, which had formed on the surface of the egg yolk agar growth medium in this Petri dish culture plate, after undergoing a 48 hour incubation period. It is important to note the opaque, opalescent nature exhibited by these characteristic type-E colonies.
