Description:This photomicrograph shows the herpes simplex virus Type-II in a genital smear using immunofluorescent technique.
HSV-2 usually affects the genital tract, therefore, it’s known as genital herpes, and is more common in women where approximately one out of four women are affected, as opposed to almost one out of five men.
